The Billerbeck Legacy
Billerbeck Reeds was founded by Marjorie Downward over 30 years ago. She has been a guiding light for many oboists finding their way with reeds. Through offering advice, and encouraging feedback, she has created a bespoke reed service for her clients.
The Now
To ensure that customers can continue to rely on the excellent service, Marjorie drafted an assistant into the Billerbeck team.
‘The Assistant’ is an experienced professional Oboist and Cor Anglais player who is passionate about helping players of all ages and abilities find a reed set-up that works for the player.
The Billerbeck team do love making reeds. Customers may see a few changes around the brand and packaging to help bring the playful element back to playing the oboe.
The Future
At Billerbeck Reeds, we understand that every musician has their own preferences when it comes to their reeds. We have introduced a few more ranges, and more products will be added in the near future.
